Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician in Westfield, MA to repair and maintain Refrigeration HVAC equipment across our store facilities. Applicants should have 2 years of refrigeration HVAC experience, EPA refrigerant handling certification, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
• EPA Type I/II or Universal certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid state driver’s license with clean MVR.
• 18+ with a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Option 1: Vocational or technical HVAC/R certification + 2 years’ experience.
• Option 2: 4 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or related field.
• HVAC-R/Mechanical Journeyman where required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility's Refrigeration HVAC equipment.
• Utilize work order system to document repairs and support stores.
• Respond to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect facilities and equipment to diagnose issues.
• Complete required safety training.
• Comply with OSHA and EPA guidelines.

Skills

HVAC maintenance experience

EPA refrigerant handling certification

Ability to read schematics/blueprints
