Job summary

Walmart in Norman, OK is hiring a Technician, Facility Services, HVAC-Refrigeration to install and maintain HVAC and refrigeration systems across multiple facilities. The role requires reading schematics, following safety protocols, and delivering reliable service to preserve product quality and energy efficiency.

You will lead maintenance tasks, train apprentices, and coordinate with building management on repairs, schedules, and compliance with OSHA and EPA 608 standards.

Qualifications

• HVAC/R certification plus 2 years’ maintenance experience (commercial HVAC/R) or 4 years’ related experience.
• EPA 608 certification (Type I/II or Universal) required.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics and follow building codes.

Responsibilities

• Installs HVAC and refrigeration systems, including ductwork, control panels, and building pneumatics.
• Configures and calibrates low ambient systems and direct digital controls.
• Diagnoses and resolves mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues.
• Performs preventive maintenance to extend equipment life and reduce downtime.
• Mentains refrigeration units and Energy Management Systems; coordinates with managers.
