Job summary

Walmart Inc. in Bradenton, FL, is seeking a Technician, Facility Services, HVAC-Refrigeration, to install, maintain, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial environments.

You will diagnose issues, follow safety standards, and perform preventive maintenance to keep facilities running smoothly. The role requires reading schematics, adhering to building codes, and leading field teams on technical procedures.

Qualifications

• HVAC/R certification and 2 years’ experience in commercial HVAC/R and building controls.
• Or 4 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls.
• Hold and maintains Type I and Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• Where required, HVAC‑R/ Mechanical Journeyman.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass motor vehicle report.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and calibrate HVAC and refrigeration systems, including ductwork, control panels, and building pneumatics.
• Interpret layout plans and schematics to ensure accurate system setup and compliance with building codes.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues in commercial and industrial systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance to extend equipment life and minimize downtime.
• Maintain and repair refrigeration units such as racks, walk-ins, and reach-ins.
• Conduct inspections and repairs following federal, state, and local HVAC/R regulations and safety protocols.
• Lead and mentor field teams on technical procedures and safety practices.
• Manage service calls, coordinate with external providers, and maintain accurate documentation.
