Job summary

Walmart is seeking an HVAC/R technician in Kennesaw, GA to install, calibrate, and maintain commercial refrigeration and climate control systems across multiple facilities. You will interpret layouts and schematics, configure direct digital controls, and ensure compliance with building codes and safety standards.

The role requires HVAC/R certification or equivalent experience, EPA Type I/II, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

HVAC/R certification required or 4 years in mechanical maintenance or building controls.
EPA 608 refrigerant handling certification (Type I/II or Universal).
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Installs HVAC and supermarket refrigeration systems, including ductwork and control panels.
Configures and calibrates direct digital controls and low ambient systems.
Interprets layouts and schematics to ensure compliant system setup.
Diagnoses mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues across commercial systems.
Implements preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
Directs field teams and mentors apprentices on procedures and safety.
Drives company vehicle to service calls and coordinates with management.
