Job summary

Walmart Georgetown, TX is seeking an experienced HVAC/R technician to install, configure, and service commercial refrigeration and supermarket systems. You will interpret plans, calibrate direct digital controls, and ensure compliance with building codes while managing safety and quality standards.

The role requires a certified HVAC/R technician with extensive experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to mentorJunior staff.

Qualifications

HVAC/R certification and 2 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field.
4 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls.
Hold and maintains Type I and Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling; where required, HVAC-R/Mechanical Journeyman.
Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass motor vehicle report.
Commercial driving record with no major convictions in the last five years.

Responsibilities

Install HVAC/R and refrigeration systems, including ductwork and controls.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues.
Lead field teams and mentor apprentices on procedures and safety.
Coordinate with managers and external service providers for maintenance and service calls.
Maintain vehicles, schedules, and inventory; submit reports and warranty claims.
