Job summary

Walmart Inc. Georgetown, TX seeks an experienced HVAC/R technician to oversee installation and commissioning of systems, including refrigeration units, ductwork and controls.

You will lead diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and ensure regulatory compliance across facilities and stores. The role requiresJourneyman qualifications, EPA refrigerant handling certification, and strong communication to mentor staff and coordinate field teams.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration.
• 6 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration and AAS in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.
• EPA certification for refrigerant handling (Type I/II or Universal).
• HVAC‑R/Mechanical Journeyman when required.
• 1 year’s plumbing, electrical, or material handling experience or 2 years Walmart store experience.
• Valid state driver’s license and ability to pass motor vehicle record checks.
• Compliant driving record with no major driving violations in recent years.

Responsibilities

• Oversees installation and commissioning of HVAC/R systems and related components.
• Leads diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues.
• Implements preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment life and reduce downtimes.
• Manages refrigeration units and rack systems in supermarkets for optimal performance.
• Ensures OSHA standards and EPA refrigerant handling protocols are followed.
• Coordinates field teams and mentors technicians, with on‑call support as needed.
