Job summary

Metropolitan Community College is seeking qualified temporary faculty to instruct HVAC/R courses across district campuses. Responsibilities include course delivery, preparation, student meetings, and grading in alignment with MCCKC policies.

Minimum qualifications include an HVAC/R degree or certificate and 3 years of industry experience. Positions are pool-based, with assignments contingent on enrollment and campus needs.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in HVAC/R or qualifying field (Commercial HVAC, Facilities HVAC, Refrigeration, Residential HVAC).
• Three (3) years minimum of industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Select instructional materials; plan and organize instruction to enhance student learning.
• Use varied methods of engagement and assessment to facilitate student mastery of learning outcomes.
• Provide students constructive, encouraging, and corrective feedback.
• Evaluate student learning and modify instructional methods to meet diverse student needs.
• Meeting classes as scheduled and notifying the division chair of absences.
• Monitor email and other electronic communications with students; respond timely.
• Prepare and distribute syllabi according to procedures.
• Follow final exam schedule and maintain accurate records of grades and attendance.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records and comply with college policy.
• Fulfill all requirements in college policies and mandatory training.
• Exercise stewardship in use of college facilities and materials.
• Implement course learning outcomes assessment activities and report data timely.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
