Job summary

Metropolitan Community College is seeking candidates for a temporary faculty pool to deliver high-quality instruction across assigned courses. Faculty will handle course preparation, student meetings, grading, and related teaching duties, maintaining required credentials as per accrediting agencies.

Temporary faculty may be assigned up to a limited workload per semester, with additional units possible upon dean approval.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration or Construction with five years of industry experience.
• Associate’s degree in any field plus eight years of work experience with professional tested experience.
• A combination of education and formal training (e.g., apprenticeship) with related subject matter experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop instructional materials and plan instruction to support student learning.
• Engage and assess students using diverse teaching methods.
• Provide constructive feedback and evaluate student performance.
• Maintain accurate records and enter final grades.
• Meet classes as scheduled and notify the division chair of absences.
