Job description

Overview

Credit part-time, adjunct faculty teaching positions available in HVAC/R. Seeking motivated and knowledgeable individuals to instruct and facilitate HVAC/R learning in the classroom and lab environment. Additional opportunities may be considered for onsite training in industry. NCC is strongly committed to increasing the diversity of the college community and the curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Plan course instruction based upon approved syllabus and outline (provided).


• Collaborate with program manager on curriculum development and lab improvements.


• Supervise independent and group projects, lab activities, or other training.


• Observe and evaluate students\' work to determine progress, providing feedback, and making suggestions for improvement when necessary.


• Prepare content for classroom and labs for activities as required.


• Stay current of industry development and relay these changes to students as applicable.

Qualifications

• Technical Associate\'s Degree or higher is preferred, but industry experience will be considered in lieu of degree.


• Minimum of five (5) years in HVAC/R Industry.


• EPA Section 608 Technician Certification - Minimum: Types I & II (Universal preferred).


• RSES or NATE industry certifications preferred.


• No previous teaching is required but the candidate must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.


• Moderate computer and technology skills to facilitate administrative and instructional requirements. Technical assistance will be provided as needed and learning workshops are offered on an ongoing basis.
