Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree AND two years of directly related professional experience.
• An associate degree AND six years of directly related professional experience.
• A valid California Community College credential.
• The equivalent education and/or experience (requires an equivalency).
• In addition, all applicants must have a valid California driver’s license.
• Evidence of responsiveness to and understanding of diversity and equity in the classroom.

Responsibilities

• Teaching HVAC/R and Environmental Controls; cover topics such as safety, basic refrigeration, electricity, duct design, and certification exam prep.
• Communicating effectively with students and staff; participating in curriculum design and instructional aids.
• Recruiting activities and participation in professional meetings/workshops; occasional evening/weekend/online teaching.
• Fulfillment of duties as required by Administrative Regulation 7122.
