Qualifications

• Two-year refrigeration mechanic traineeship completed
• Two-year refrigeration repair and maintenance training completed
• Equivalent refrigeration two-year training program completed
• Four years of full-time mechanical/electrical trades experience with 1 year in commercial refrigeration or A/C
• Training credits substituted year-for-year
• Traineeship includes 288 hours classroom, 45 hours math, 45 hours communications, 15 hours blueprint reading with grade C or better; 4,000 hours on-the-job training

Responsibilities

• Respond to daily service requests and preventive maintenance
• Troubleshoot, install, repair, and maintain HVAC-R equipment
• Diagnose and overhaul coolers, refrigerators, freezers, and air-conditioning units
• Service BAS and electrical/mechanical equipment; document work using computers
