Job summary

University at Buffalo invites applications for the Facility Operations Assistant 1 position in the HVAC department. You will assist with routine maintenance and perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment, boilers, chillers, pumps, and related HVAC systems.

You will follow operating procedures, participate in in-service training, and help keep HVAC areas clean and safe while supporting after-hours responses as needed.

Qualifications

• No education or experience qualifications required.
• Ability to operate tools safely and follow instructions.
• Valid New York State driver’s license if operating vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Assist in routine maintenance of equipment.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on HVAC equipment per directions.
• Conduct preventive maintenance like lubricating, replacing belts and filters, cleaning equipment.
