Job summary

Walmart in Orangevale, CA is seeking a Developmental Technician for Facility Services HVAC/R to support the maintenance and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems across multiple facilities. You will complete required documentation, assist with capital expenditure planning, and perform preventive maintenance and repairs under supervision.

The Facilities Management HVACR team ensures safe environments and compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Hold and maintain Universal or Type I and Type II EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• EPA 608 Certification within 90 days of hire; clean driving record.
• Commercial driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last three years.
• No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years.

Responsibilities

• Complete and submit required paperwork, including expense vouchers, refrigerant logs, and work orders, to senior leadership.
• Assist in gathering capital expenditure lists and develop scopes of work for HVAC/R and energy management system updates.
• Perform preventive maintenance, minor repairs, and troubleshooting on HVAC/R equipment under supervision.
• Collaborate with management, coworkers, and business partners to identify priorities, communicate progress, and recommend improvements.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations by following safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain company vehicles and coordinate required maintenance and documentation.
• Adapt to change and support continuous improvement initiatives.
