Job summary

Walmart in Orangevale, CA is seeking an (USA) Developmental Technician, Facility Services HVAC/R to support maintenance and repair of HVAC/R systems across multiple facilities. The role involves completing required documentation, assisting with capital expenditure planning, and performing preventive maintenance under supervision.

The Facilities Management HVACR team ensures safe environments and reliable operations.

Qualifications

• Hold and maintain EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid state driver’s license and ability to pass MVR.
• 1 year’s experience in related area or 2 years Walmart store experience.
• EPA 608 Certification within 90 days of hire.
• Commercial driving record with no major infractions in last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Complete and submit required paperwork (expense vouchers, logs, work orders).
• Assist in developing scopes of work for HVAC/R and energy updates.
• Perform preventive maintenance, minor repairs, and troubleshooting under supervision.
• Collaborate with management and partners to identify priorities and communicate progress.
• Ensure OSHA and EPA compliance by following safety policies.
• Maintain company vehicles and coordinate their maintenance.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.
