Job summary

Johnstone Supply is seeking a Counter Sales Associate I to support in-store HVAC/R product sales and customer service. You will greet customers, identify needs, and guide product selections while ensuring accurate quotes, orders, and paperwork.

The role requires knowledge of HVAC/R products, strong communication, and the ability to work with a team to meet sales targets and store profitability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 1+ years of related experience and/or training in a wholesale/retail environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience must include front line customer service.
• Multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced retail setting.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers who walk in the store and regulars by name, building rapport.
• Assists customers in product selection by asking questions and listening to needs.
• Recommends and orders products, including alternatives, to meet customer needs.
• Researches products using POS, catalogs, websites, and vendor contacts to locate stock or coordinate transfers.
• Handles customer transactions, quotes, warranties, returns, and documentation accurately.
• Maintains store appearance and participates in inventory counts and SOP adherence.
