Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking an experienced project manager to oversee OOS projects from planning to close. You will manage budgets, schedules, and vendor coordination while ensuring client satisfaction and compliance with building codes.

Responsibilities include coordinating design phases, permitting, and lifecycle planning, plus regular client meetings and detailed reporting to keep projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• 5 years project management experience required.
• Experience in facilities planning and/or construction management processes and procedures.
• Experience in estimating, budgeting, and scheduling practices.
• Knowledge of costs of new construction, escalation factors, and market trends.
• Knowledge of building codes and standards of practice.
• Knowledge of laws governing construction contracts and contracting.
• Knowledge of construction materials and methods.
• Skill in reading and interpreting blueprint drawings and specifications and ability to compare them with construction progress.
• Proactive and professional verbal and written communications skills.
• Strong accountability and commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.
• Organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to self-manage and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Oversee OOS projects from planning phase through financial close.
• Develop conceptual plans and budgets for Campus projects.
• Coordinate project completions with building management, vendors, and JCI staff.
• Prepare proposals and conduct meetings to facilitate project execution.
• Assist or lead project design phase with customer.
• Coordinate permitting with City/State Inspectors for approvals.
• Monitor and report on all phases of project execution.
• Collaborate with team on Lifecycle planning efforts.
• Generate monthly and annual project reports.
• Meet with clients regularly and review bid documentation.
