Job summary

Johnson Controls, a global leader in building systems and energy solutions, is seeking a Project Manager to lead Major Projects valued at $1M+ from turnover through closeout. You will drive project execution, safety, and financial performance while coordinating field teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders for successful outcomes.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, project management, or related field and 2–5 years’ experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, project management, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience managing commercial construction, HVAC, or related projects.
• Experience managing schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and customer relationships.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from planning through completion and closeout.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, billings, cash flow, and profitability.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and execution plans.
• Coordinate activities with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams.
• Identify, price, negotiate, and recover change orders.
• Review contracts and project requirements for compliance.
• Monitor risks and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct customer meetings and provide regular updates.
• Maintain RFIs, submittals, change orders, and closeout packages.
• Support commissioning, turnover, and customer training.
• Promote safety and ensure compliance.
