Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager to lead Major Projects valued at $1M+ from turnover through closeout. You will manage execution, customer satisfaction, and financial performance while coordinating field teams and subcontractors.

You will develop schedules, control budgets, review contracts, and ensure safety and compliance, delivering successful outcomes across data centers, healthcare and other critical facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience managing commercial construction, HVAC, mechanical, electrical, or related projects.
• Experience managing project schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and customer relationships.
• Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned projects from planning through completion and closeout.
• Manage project budgets, forecasts, billings, cash flow, and profitability.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and execution plans.
• Coordinate project activities with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams.
• Identify, price, negotiate, and manage change orders.
• Review contracts, specifications, and project requirements for compliance.
• Monitor project risks and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct customer meetings and provide regular project updates.
• Maintain project documentation (RFIs, submittals, change orders, closeout packages).
• Support commissioning, turnover, and customer training activities.
• Promote strong safety practices and ensure compliance.
