Job summary

AM Mechanical is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager with 3-5 years of estimating and project management experience focused on HVAC to join our Downers Grove, IL team. You will manage a wide range of turn-key mechanical and process piping projects, from scope to close-out, coordinating with clients, design teams, and field staff.

You will lead proposals, prepare drawings, attend client meetings, and ensure accurate estimates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• 2-7+ years of HVAC project management experience.
• Willingness to travel nationwide as needed.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all managerial and administrative aspects of turn-key mechanical/projects including estimating, scheduling, quality control, progress reporting, and cost reporting.
• Gather project requirements directly from clients and facilitate preparation of working drawings
• Prepare/submit project proposals in collaboration with management
• Attend client meetings to present proposals and address questions on cost, design, and scope of work
• Ensure accurate project estimates align with contracted scope
• Manage RFIs, change-orders and submittals throughout project lifecycle
• Coordinate internal project accounting and track cost status
• Plan, coordinate, oversee, and maintain field operations and teams
• Address close-out and warranty issues as they arise
