Job summary

AM Mechanical in Dallas, TX seeks a Project Manager with 3–5 years of estimating and project management experience in HVAC. You will lead turn-key mechanical and piping projects, manage proposals, cost reporting, and client communications.

You will coordinate with design, project management, and field staff; travel nationwide as needed to client sites. A bachelor’s in mechanical engineering is required with strong negotiation skills and a track record of on-time project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• 2-7+ years of HVAC project management experience; leading design/build projects preferred.
• Demonstrated competency in negotiation and conflict resolution.

Responsibilities

• Manage all managerial and administrative aspects of turn-key mechanical and/or process piping projects (estimating, scheduling, quality control, progress reports, progress billing, design review, cost reporting, safety, proposals).
• Gather project requirements from clients and help prepare working drawings.
• Prepare/submit project proposals independently or with management.
• Attend client meetings to present proposals and address cost, design, and scope questions.
• Ensure accurate project estimates align with contracted scope.
• Manage RFIs, change-orders, and submittals through project lifecycle.
• Track internal project costs and status; manage field operations and teams.
• Address close-out and warranty issues as they arise.
