Job summary

ACCO Engineered Systems in Denver, CO seeks a seasoned business development leader. You will grow revenue by targeting new clients, cultivating relationships with Project Managers, and building a strong prospect pipeline through consultative selling.

Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will optimize project management staffing, guide bid strategies across the region, and drive full-cycle sales from initial meetings to project completion. Strong leadership and negotiation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Sales Management or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in estimating, designing and management of HVAC projects from $5M to $25M+.
• 10+ years of experience in successfully managing a team.
• Ability to operate independently yet know when to consult Senior Leadership.
• Demonstrate commitment to ACCO culture and ethics; strong leadership and team building.
• Ability to engage high-level decision makers at target companies.
• Proven ability to influence and persuade to achieve outcomes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Sustain current project management responsibilities with existing customer base.
• Lead end-to-end pursuit, sale and engineering of projects.
• Provide high-level budget support for prospective clients not currently supported by PM team.
• Develop bid strategies for the assigned region with risk management.
• Optimize PM teams by assigning clients and projects to PMs and PEs.
• Supervise full-cycle project management from sales to final completion.
• Maintain records on prospects, target accounts, and new clients.
• Identify and grow opportunities across ACCO products (HVAC, plumbing, piping).
• Define business development strategies aligned with ACCO's plan.
• Cultivate relationships with current and new clients; host shop tours for confidence.
