Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in HVAC (two-year program)
  • Third Class Stationary Engineer’s License must be obtained within 12 months of assignment

  • Minimum of five years’ experience maintaining hot water heating, chilled water and refrigerant-based HVAC systems

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment including hot water heating, chilled water, and refrigerant systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems with minimal supervision
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to plan maintenance tasks
  • Program and interact with Building Automation System (BAS) to manage lighting, fire safety, and occupant comfort
  • Coordinate required inspections including boiler and fire safety

Education

Associate’s Degree in HVAC
Third Class Stationary Engineer’s License (within 12 months)
EPA Universal Technician Certification for Refrigerant Handling (within six months)
