Job summary

Everett Public Schools seeks a Maintenance Mechanic to support district facilities with HVAC systems, controls, and related infrastructure. The role requires hands-on skills in electrical controls, reading schematics, and evaluating BAS/DDC equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation.

The candidate will collaborate with facilities teams, comply with safety protocols, and participate in routine preventative maintenance across school buildings. Certification and experience preferred.

Qualifications

• HVAC technical training or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Building Automation Systems, DDC controls or HVAC controls preferred.
• Understanding of HVAC electrical systems, control circuits, sensors, actuators, and low-voltage controls.
• Ability to read HVAC control drawings, wiring diagrams, and sequences of operation.
• Experience with BAS platforms or protocols such as BACnet or Modbus is a plus.
• EPA Section 608 certification required for technicians handling regulated refrigerants.
