Job summary

Everett Public Schools is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic - HVAC for the 2026-27 cycle. The role requires HVAC technical training or apprenticeship, and EPA 608 certification for handling refrigerants.

Candidates with BAS/BDDC experience and ability to read control drawings and diagrams are preferred. Pre-employment physical ability evaluation is required, with final offer contingent on passing the PAE test.

Qualifications

• HVAC technical training, apprenticeship, certification, and equivalent experience.
• Experience with BAS, DDC controls, or HVAC control systems preferred.
• Understanding of HVAC electrical systems, control circuits, sensors, actuators, and low-voltage controls.
• Ability to read HVAC control drawings, wiring diagrams, and sequences of operation.
• Experience with BAS platforms, controllers, or protocols such as BACnet and Modbus is a plus.
• EPA Section 608 certification required for technicians who handle regulated refrigerants.
• Pre-Employment/Post-Offer Physical Ability Testing is required.
