Job summary

Northern York County School District is seeking a Full-time HVAC Maintenance Technician for the Administration Building, with dayshift hours and district benefits. Position includes HVAC, electrical, and plumbing responsibilities, and requires experience with BAS and relevant certifications.

Ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in HVAC, electrical, and plumbing, plus strong preventative maintenance and issue coordination with external vendors.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent (GED, trade school, or foreign equivalency).
• At least 5 years hands-on experience with HVAC, electrical, and plumbing concepts.
• Knowledge of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, carpentry, and general maintenance applications.
• HVAC certification and EPA refrigerant certification preferred.
• Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and install HVAC equipment and components.
• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Monitor and adjust BAS controls to ensure efficient operation.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialty HVAC repairs and inspections.
• Record keeping of maintenance activities, inspections, and service contracts.
• Maintain indoor air quality and temperature control across District facilities.
