Job summary

Principia in Elsah, IL is seeking a Regular Full-Time HVAC Technician to perform preventative maintenance and repairs across boilers, chillers, furnaces, and related systems. You will collaborate with electricians and plumbers, support after-hours emergencies, and operate BAS equipment to ensure reliable building operations.

The role requires journeyman HVAC skills, EPA Universal Certification, and physical ability to lift up to 60 lbs.

Qualifications

• Journeyman HVAC skill level required.
• EPA Universal Certification required.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and work in varying spaces.

Responsibilities

• Preventative maintenance and repairs of boilers, chillers, cooling towers, and related pumps.
• Repair of furnaces and air conditioners.
• Maintain water heaters, drinking fountains, and bottle fillers.
• Maintain hydronic systems and HVAC piping/components.
• Troubleshoot with BAS and close tickets in the work order system.
• Coordinate parts and supplies; assist with after-hours emergencies if needed.
