Job summary

JLL in West Chester, OH is seeking an entry-level, third-shift Preventive Maintenance Technician to help keep our HVAC systems reliable. You'll perform scheduled maintenance, inspect air handlers and exhaust fans, replace belts, and document results in the CMMS.

This role is part of the Engineering Services team, offering training opportunities, safety focus, and a clear path for career growth. A high school diploma and basic HVAC knowledge are required, with 2–3 years in the field a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or state equivalent.
• 2-3 years' experience in HVAC maintenance or building maintenance is a plus.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to read equipment schedules and follow detailed maintenance procedures.
• Basic understanding of HVAC systems, air handlers, and exhaust fan operation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify equipment issues during inspections.
• Effective communication skills and ability to document work accurately and completely.
• Physical ability to access equipment, climb ladders, and work in mechanical spaces.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, and adjustment.
• Inspect HVAC equipment including air handlers, exhaust fans, pumps, and associated systems.
• Replace belts on air handlers and exhaust fans, ensuring proper tension and alignment.
• Document equipment conditions, identify issues or abnormalities, and report findings to engineering leadership.
• Record maintenance activities accurately in the CMMS work order system and maintain detailed inspection logs.
• Monitor system performance during inspections and identify potential problems before they cause failures.
• Maintain organized inventory of filters, belts, and supplies needed for routine maintenance tasks.
• Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with departmental policies while performing all maintenance activities.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding equipment status and maintenance needs.
