Job summary

Daikin Applied Americas is hiring a full-time HVAC Pre-Apprentice for an onsite role in Maple Grove, MN. You’ll assist in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial HVAC equipment, including rooftops, chillers, and boilers. Training and certifications are provided as you progress with regional trainers and online modules.

The position emphasizes safety, customer communication, and ongoing skill development while preparing you for advanced HVAC journeys within the company.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED and HVAC certificate.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Local license/training card as required by law.
• Work visa sponsorship not available for this position.
• OSHA 10 within 90 days of hire (training provided).
• First aid/CPR card preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in servicing HVAC equipment, including inspection and testing to verify functionality.
• Assist in rebuilding HVAC units under supervision of Journeyman and Foreman.
• Drive company vehicle to and from jobsite to transport tools and materials.
• Record and report billing, inventory, timecards, and other job-related documents in a timely manner.
• Perform basic data entry and use email, internet, and word processing software.
