Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee HVAC projects from conception to completion. You will manage a team of service technicians, schedule tasks, and coordinate purchases while working closely with the executive team in a fast-paced, onsite environment.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in customer service, sales, or recruitment, strong phone and Excel skills, and a background in construction or related fields.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in customer service, sales, or recruitment.
• Exceptional phone communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• BS degree in construction, business management, architecture, engineering, or related field.
• Ability to perform physical tasks indoors and outdoors with stamina.
• Knowledge of hand tools, machines, and equipment used in HVAC work.
• Effective communication via email, text, telephone, or in person.
• Proficiency in conflict and crisis management.
• Leadership and human resource management skills.
• Excellent time and project management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee HVAC projects from inception to completion.
• Manage 10-12 service technicians with clear communication.
• Schedule services via internal and external software.
• Recruit, hire, train, and terminate personnel as needed.
• Perform accounting and bookkeeping to ensure project profitability.
• Coordinate with President and VP on scheduling and purchasing.
• Troubleshoot HVAC systems during installation and service.
• Ensure smooth information flow from project inception to the team.
