Job summary

Henderson Engineers in Los Angeles is seeking a mid to experienced Mechanical Designer with HVAC specialization to contribute across six market sectors, including Business, Community, Grocery & Distribution, Health, Retail, and Venue. You will collaborate with our sister company Henderson Building Solutions to deliver integrated client experiences.

The role emphasizes design calculations, layouts, and coordination using Revit, Bluebeam Revu, AutoCAD, and Trane Trace, with opportunities for

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or related engineering field with 3 years of experience, or 6 years without degree; PE license may count toward 1 year of experience.
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Bluebeam Revu.
Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit) and HVAC design software (IESVE, Trane Trace)

Responsibilities

Performs calculations and designs basic to advanced engineering systems with a high degree of independence.
Prepares basic to advanced mechanical system layouts, detailed drawings, and schematics.
Review shop drawings for conformance to plans and specifications.
Assists with developing and maintaining relationships with strategic partners and customers.
Proactively seeks opportunities for continuous learning and understanding of industry software (Revit, Bluebeam Revu, MS Office).
May support project coordination activities such as managing emails, coordinating scope and schedule, attending client meetings, and ensuring project quality.
