Job summary

Comfort Systems USA Ohio in Cincinnati seeks a seasoned Project Sales Engineer – Mechanical Construction to identify, develop, estimate, and secure commercial and industrial HVAC projects. You will own opportunities from initial client engagement through proposal and turnover to construction leadership.

You will build relationships with customers, general contractors, and engineers, balancing cost, schedule, risk, and constructability to win profitable work and deliver value across the project

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in commercial or industrial HVAC/mechanical construction sales, project development, estimating, or related environment.
• Proven experience developing and selling mechanical construction solutions to industrial and commercial customers.
• Experience with general contractors and navigating opportunities from pursuit through award.
• Ability to independently estimate HVAC/mechanical construction projects.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, drawings, specs, and construction documents.
• Strong commercial and financial judgment with the ability to evaluate margins and risk.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, and secure commercial and industrial HVAC and mechanical construction opportunities.
• Lead opportunities from development through proposal, negotiation, and contract award.
• Maintain an active pipeline and provide accurate sales and project forecasting.
• Coordinate with customers, estimating, engineering, vendors, and construction leadership.
• Present proposals, conduct value-engineering conversations, and manage customer negotiations.
• Turn over awarded work to Construction leadership and field supervision with complete documentation.
