Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking an HVAC apprentice/technician to perform preventive maintenance, repair, installation and troubleshooting of mechanical systems in commercial settings. You will document work and act as a trusted advisor, offering on-site solutions to improve building efficiency.

Responsibilities include routine service, upsell opportunities, and clear communication with customers. Union membership and basic mechanical experience are required or desired for this role.

Qualifications

• Must be a member or willing to join Local 262 Local 190 Plumb & Pipefitters union.
• 1+ years of mechanical experience is a plus.
• Effective interpersonal skills to properly represent Johnson Controls to customers.

Responsibilities

• Conduits preventive maintenance, repair, installation and troubleshooting of HVAC mechanical systems.
• Provide required project and service documentation.
• Offer solutions and outcomes at the time of service to customers.
• Provide recommendations to improve facility efficiency and upsell where appropriate.
• Perform routine service tasks such as filter changes, lubrication, belt adjustments, coil cleaning, and IAQ work.
