Job summary
The University of Arizona is seeking an HVAC Mechanic II in Phoenix, AZ. This role installs, maintains, and repairs HVAC systems in commercial settings, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring systems operate safely and efficiently.
Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and at least 3 years of relevant experience; driving is required per Fleet Safety Policy. A Certificate of Completion as HVAC Technician is preferred.
Qualifications

- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to drive according to Fleet Safety Policy.
- HVAC Certificate preferred.
Responsibilities
- Repair and preventive maintenance of building HVAC systems.
- Inspect equipment to identify wear and failures; perform corrective repairs.
- Troubleshoot and repair air handlers, fans, pumps, VAVs, and other equipment.
- Ensure installations and repairs comply with safety standards and codes.
- Assist with system upgrades and equipment replacements.
