Tufts University is seeking a qualified HVAC Mechanic I to diagnose, maintain, and repair HVAC and related systems across campus facilities. The role requires 7+ years in HVAC with at least 4 years as a licensed HVAC technician, plus EPA/DEP and Massachusetts licenses. Strong blueprints reading and CMMS usage are essential.

The position entails handling indoor/outdoor work, emergencies, and campus events with a focus on safety and reliability. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 7+ years total HVAC experience; 4+ years as licensed HVAC technician.
• Reading and understanding blueprints.
• Proficient with Windows and CMMS.
• EPA/DEP certification and universal CFC reclamation.
• Massachusetts Refrigeration Technician License.
• Valid US driver’s license.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose, maintain, install, and repair HVAC, heating, and filtering equipment.
• Install, troubleshoot, and service chillers, package systems, split systems, AHUs.
• Work regular shifts with potential after-hours emergency coverage.
• Prepare parts and tools for daily activities.
• Maintain asset PM records in CMMS and document activities.
