Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience including at least 4 years as a licensed HVAC technician.
• Read and comprehend blueprints.
• Working knowledge of Windows, BAS systems (JCI/Schneider helpful), and CMMS (MAXIMO helpful).
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Solid time management and organizational abilities; ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
• Ability to work with others in a professional manner; maintain a professional appearance.
• Must be physically capable to perform duties indoors and outdoors in varied weather.
• Background checks including CORI/SORI and driving record; EPA/DEP certification; Universal CFC reclamation; MA Refrigeration Technician License; Valid US driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, install and repair HVAC, heating and filtering equipment to ensure efficient operation.
• Install, troubleshoot and service chillers, package systems, split systems and HVAC components.
• Be available for emergency work outside normal hours as needed.
• Follow SOPs, safety regulations and maintain CMMS records for asset maintenance.
• Prepare parts and tools daily for field activities.
• Maintain essential status as defined in university policy.
