Job summary

Tufts University is seeking a qualified HVAC Mechanic I to diagnose, maintain and repair HVAC systems across campus. You will work with chillers, package and split systems, following SOPs and safety guidelines, while maintaining CMMS records.

The role requires 7+ years of relevant experience, MA Refrigeration Technician license, EPA/DEP certification, and a valid driver’s license. The position is on-site in Boston with a Monday–Friday schedule and a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• 4+ years as HVAC tech; 7+ years total experience.
• EPA/DEP certification and MA Refrigeration Technician License.
• Valid US driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, install and repair HVAC, heating and filtration equipment.
• Service chillers, package systems, split systems and related equipment.
• Follow SOPs, safety norms, and deadlines; maintain records in CMMS.
• Prepare parts and tools for daily activities.
