Moore's Electrical & Mechanical in Charlottesville seeks an HVAC Mechanic to support installation of commercial HVAC systems on projects across Virginia's Charlottesville area and surrounding regions. You will fabricate and install duct work, set up equipment, read drawings, and mentor helpers and apprentices, while maintaining safety and quality on every job.

Strong teamwork, problem-solving, and physical stamina are required; a valid driver's license and reliable transportation are a must.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational school or prior training preferred.
• Basic understanding of trade principles and concepts.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
• Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various environments.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safety and following established protocols.

The Role

The HVAC Mechanic is responsible for assisting the job site crew with the installation of HVAC systems that bring the building to life. Job sites will vary amongst commercial projects throughout the area. Projects will mainly consist of K-12, University, and Healthcare buildings.
