Job summary

AAON, Inc. is seeking a knowledgeable Lab Technician to support HVAC training programs. You will set up and maintain classrooms, labs, and equipment, assist with prototype development, and help with data analysis to support Technical Academy classes.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in HVAC, mechanical systems, electrical controls, and thermodynamics, plus teaching or training experience and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in HVAC or equivalent, with EPA 608 and A2L certifications.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, mechanical systems, electrical controls, and thermodynamics.
• Experience in teaching or training a technical audience.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel to other facilities as needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain labs and classrooms to support instructors before, during, and after training sessions.
• Assist with prototype development, equipment maintenance, and data analysis for Technical Academy classes.
• Support instructors in R&D, testing, and maintenance of labs and classroom materials.
• Locate parts, diagrams, and drawings within the AAON database and ensure accessibility.
• Maintain lab cleanliness and safety compliance; ensure equipment is safe and operational.
