Job summary

Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School is seeking an HVAC Teacher for grades 9-12. This 10-month position (185 days) requires providing instruction in HVAC under the principal's direction and maintaining an engaging learning environment.

Qualified candidates will have DESE HVAC certification (chapter 74) or waiver, 5 years of full-time HVAC experience, and a high school diploma or GED. EPA Universal Certification is also required.

Qualifications

• DESE Chapter 74 HVAC certification (9-14) or waiver
• Minimum 5 years full-time HVAC experience
• Experience working with young adults preferred
• High school diploma or GED required
• EPA Universal Certification (Section 608) required
• Ability to maintain accurate records and communicate with students and parents

Responsibilities

• Integrate HVAC concepts with related academic subjects
• Instruct grades 9-12 in HVAC
• Maintain an environment conducive to learning
• Prepare lessons and show preparation upon request
• Communicate student progress and keep records up to date
• Collaborate with staff on instructional goals and materials
• Meet with students/parents outside instructional hours as needed
• Participate in faculty meetings and professional development
