The ideal candidate has eight years of HVAC experience, CT endorsement #090, and current OSHA 10 plus First Aid/CPR/AED credentials. Responsibilities include lesson design, student assessment, and collaboration with local employers.

Qualifications

• Eight years of hands-on HVAC experience.
• HVAC program endorsement #090 required for initial educator certificate.
• High school diploma plus eight years of related employment/teaching experience.
• OSHA 10; First Aid/CPR/AED; CDL with endorsements within first year of employment.
• Two thousand hours of apprenticeship training may count as one year toward endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and design lesson/unit plans for HVAC technology.
• Deliver classroom and hands-on HVAC instruction following current industry standards.
• Provide tutoring and academic counseling; maintain records and assess student progress.
• Collaborate with business/industry partners to keep curricula current and connect students with opportunities.
• Attend meetings and professional development; ensure safety and NFPA/ICC code compliance.
