Job summary

Jetson is hiring experienced HVAC Installers in Columbia, MD, to lead full heat pump installations from start to finish. You will remove aging gas systems, perform refrigerant recovery and charging, and ensure a clean, compliant installation that leaves homeowners excited about their upgrade.

Requirements include a Maryland HVACR Journeyman license, EPA 608 certification (or in progress), and the ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

• MD HVACR Journeyman license required.
• EPA Section 608 certification required or in progress.
• Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• Knowledge of local building codes and safety standards.
• Strong refrigerant handling skills (recovery, evacuation, charging).
• Excellent communication with customers and teammates.
• Physical stamina for heavy equipment and varied conditions.

Responsibilities

• Complete full heat pump system installs from start to finish, including removing gas equipment and cleaning the space.
• Perform refrigerant recovery, evacuation, and proper charging.
• Prepare spaces after removal so new install starts well.
• Read blueprints and wiring diagrams to install and troubleshoot.
• Ensure compliance with local codes before completion.
• Deliver outstanding customer experience and address questions on site.
• Identify and flag quality issues and suggest improvements.
• Maintain organized, stocked vehicles and work area.
• Collaborate with team to raise installation standards.
