Job summary

US Air Conditioning Distributors, a Bosch-owned HVAC equipment distributor, seeks a Head of Operations to lead warehouse, logistics, supply chain, and daily operations across our wholesale distribution business. The ideal candidate has strategic, hands-on leadership with 5–10+ years in operations, knowledge of WMS, and a track record of optimizing distribution operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, logistics, or a related field.
• 5–10+ years of progressive operations leadership experience in HVAC wholesale/distribution or similar.
• Experience with safety programs, regulatory compliance, and scaling distribution operations.
• Strong knowledge of WMS, logistics, inventory control, and HVAC products/systems is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for warehouse, logistics, distribution centers, and operational activities across the region or company.
• Ensure branches operate safely, efficiently, and with high levels of customer service (on-time delivery, accuracy, availability).
• Drive standardization of processes, SOPs, and best practices across locations to maximize efficiency.
• Oversee inventory management, supply chain execution, purchasing, and logistics to optimize stock levels and meet demand.
• Lead and develop teams including Regional Operations Managers, warehouse staff, and support functions.
• Identify and implement process improvements, operational rigor, and technology to scale the business.

POSITION OVERVIEW

US Air Conditioning Distributors is seeking an experienced Head of Operations to lead and oversee our warehouse, logistics, supply chain, and day-to-day operational functions across our wholesale distribution business. We supply HVAC equipment, parts, and supplies to contractors and dealers throughout our market.

This is a key senior leadership role responsible for driving operational efficiency, scalability, safety, customer service, and profitability. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic, hands‑on approach to optimizing processes, strengthening operational performance, and supporting continued business growth in a fast‑paced distribution environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all warehouse, logistics, distribution centers, and operational activities across the region or company.
• Ensure branch/distribution centers operate safely, efficiently, and consistently with high levels of customer service (on-time delivery, order accuracy, inventory availability).
• Drive standardization of processes, SOPs, and best practices across locations to achieve “one look, one feel” operations while maximizing efficiency.
• Oversee inventory management, supply chain execution, purchasing, and logistics to optimize stock levels, reduce costs, and meet sales demand for HVAC products.
• Lead, develop, and hold accountable teams including Regional Operations Managers, warehouse staff, and support functions (e.g., fleet, safety).
• Identify and implement process improvements, operational rigor, and technology to scale the business, reduce waste, and improve productivity.
• Manage budgets, control operational costs, monitor key performance metrics (KPIs like fill rates, order accuracy, labor efficiency, safety incidents), and contribute to profitability goals.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, permitting, licensing, and industry requirements.
• Collaborate with sales, finance, and executive leadership on strategic planning, growth initiatives, and alignment with overall business objectives.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, talent development, and high performance.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, logistics, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree often preferred).
• 5–10+ years of progressive operations leadership experience, preferably in HVAC wholesale/distribution, building products, or similar supply chain environments.
• Experience with safety programs, regulatory compliance, and scaling distribution operations.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), logistics, inventory control, and HVAC products/systems is highly valued.
• Proven track record in process optimization, team leadership, P&L responsibility, and driving operational excellence.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills; ability to manage multiple locations or a large team.
