Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an HVAC Equipment Service Technician III to lead on-site fire alarm installations, coordinating with customers and subcontractors in Oregon and nearby states. You will manage design, programming, installation, commissioning, and commissioning documentation while ensuring safety and compliance.

The role demands 2–5 years of fire alarm experience, strong electrical know-how, and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience with installation and service of fire alarm systems.
• Ability to read and understand electrical and building diagrams.
• Willing to travel within Oregon and adjoining states.
• Must pass background check, drug screen, and credit check.
• Must have LEA license or ability to obtain State of Oregon LEA Class A.
• Strong customer service and independent work capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site project coordination for fire alarm installations.
• Manage materials, subcontractors, and scheduling.
• Oversee commissioning and warranty processes.
• Ensure safety standards and compliance with codes.
• Provide coaching to junior technicians.
• Maintain project profitability and cash flow.
• Prepare as-built and commissioning documentation.
