Job summary

TCL North America is seeking an HVAC Technical & Field Support Specialist to join our growing support team in Irvine, CA. You will resolve complex technical issues, train field personnel, and partner with engineering to drive improvements across HVAC and consumer electronics products.

The role requires hands-on technical expertise, ownership, and the ability to work independently in field environments while translating complex concepts for diverse audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, or related field or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 4+ years in technical support, field service, or troubleshooting in HVAC or consumer electronics.
• Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills with the ability to resolve complex issues.
• Clear communication of technical concepts to technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Experience working cross‑functionally in fast‑paced, matrixed environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical support across multiple channels, resolving complex product/service issues with focus on customer satisfaction.
• Own and manage technical escalations, including Level 1/2 troubleshooting across HVAC and consumer electronics.
• Travel to customer/partner sites to deliver technical training on product usage, operation, and repair best practices.
• Lead investigation and resolution of recurring product issues and provide feedback to product/engineering teams.
• Develop troubleshooting guides and service documentation to improve efficiency and resolution consistency.
