Job summary

A.B May is hiring an HVAC Install Supervisor to lead and coordinate installation teams at our Kansas City operation. You will oversee 8-10 technicians, ensure smooth morning starts, and promote high-quality installations.

Responsibilities include site visits, customer issue resolution, scheduling, and cross-training across sales and installation functions. You will mentor staff, enforce safety, and help maintain strong client relations while delivering exceptional service.

Qualifications

• 5+ years HVAC install and/or HVAC service experience.
• Boiler and/or Geothermal experience is a plus.
• Impeccable customer service skillset.
• Effective problem-solving skills to overcome obstacles.
• Ability to handle stressful situations with a calm, collected manner.
• Possesses initiative and can work with little supervision.
• Strong understanding of industry codes and safety practices.
• Ability to build lasting relationships with employees and customers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure morning process is carried out properly by all install personnel to promote smooth starts to installs.
• Visit job sites to check on installs and boost quality; provide help as needed.
• Assist with resolving upset customers.
• Support the install manager when they are out of the office.
• Provide temporary assistance to install team and help cover roles as needed.
• Identify training opportunities to improve install practices.
• Enforce safe work practices in warehouse and job sites.
• Cross-train in sales and installation processes to cover tasks if needed.
• Be reachable by phone to support technicians during issues.
• Gather feedback for 8-10 employees you will be managing to ensure proper development and coaching.
• Conduct jobsite visits with Sales Advisor/SellingTech as needed.

• -Available to help cover the metal shop role if needed at any point
• -Available to provide temporaryassistanceto the install manager while they are out of office
• -Look for new training opportunities and practices that can grow our department and allow for improved install practices

• -Cross trained in the complete sales and installation processes so they can perform any of these tasks if needed
• -Available by phone toallour technicians that are working so that support can be provided ifthere’sissues at any pointincluding start up
• -Gathering and providing feedback for the 8-10 employees you will be managing to ensure proper development and coaching
• -Jobsite visits with any Sales Advisor/SellingTechwhen needed.
• -Assistingwithmaintainingour installationscheduleto ensure alljobs are scheduled andexecuted ontime
• -Carrying out designingtheductworkfor anyductworkjobs wemay sell along withdirecting the teamduring the installation of theduct work
• -Continue strengtheningthe relationship between Sales and Install.

Requirements:

• -5 or more years of experience in HVACinstall and/or HVAC service
• -Boilerand/orGeothermalexperience is aplusforanyone applying
• -Impeccable customer service skillset
• -Effective problem-solving skillsto overcome any obstacles we could encounter
• -Ability to handle astressfulsituationon the fly with a cool and collected manner
