Job summary

MJC Inc is seeking a 1st Line Service Technician to support customers after the sale, assisting with startups, assembly, maintenance and troubleshooting of MJC products. You will provide guidance on warranty issues and coordinate with the Parts Department for replacements, including field visits.

Travel to customer sites is required up to 40%, with weekends as needed. The role involves detailed HVAC knowledge, problem-solving, and collaboration with Engineering, Sales, Procurement, Manufacturing

Qualifications

• HVAC knowledge required and troubleshooting proficiency.
• Experience with building automation systems preferred.
• Minimum 5 years direct HVAC experience.
• Able to travel up to 40% and weekends when necessary.
• Comfort with field service in plants and rooftops.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot unit issues and assist with in-field start-up via phone.
• Maintain customer satisfaction by investigating concerns and responding to special requests.
• Document information on issues in support software.
• Disposition warranty claims and identify parts required for service.
• Travel to customer sites up to 40%.
• Work with Parts Department/Purchasing to order replacement parts.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, Procurement, Manufacturing and Leadership.
