Job summary

EMCOR Group seeks an experienced field supervisor for our California HVAC/service operations. You will lead safety enforcement, field training, and coordination with area supervisors to ensure project readiness and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include overseeing service technicians, conducting site inspections, staffing maintenance accounts, and supporting dispatch, sales and project teams. A strong background in HVAC, safety, and unionized labor environments is required.

Qualifications

• Extensive HVAC field knowledge with minimum 15 years service field experience.
• Extensive safety knowledge with minimum 15 years field experience.
• Knowledge of Local Union Requirements including National Agreements.
• Supervisory and leadership experience in the service HVAC field, minimum 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Enforce, train, investigate and oversee service field staff safety policy acceptance and compliance.
• Attend safety related meetings and review near miss incidents; authorize root causes and initiate follow-up to prevent recurrence.
• Assist with new hire orientations and complete field readiness checklists.
• Oversee field training of technicians including Mesa Certification and on-the-job training.
• Coordinate outside training classes and ensure field training reimbursements through the Union.
• Perform field evaluations to ensure a qualified technician staff.
• Inspect service vehicles yearly and oversee the vehicle lease program.
• Conduct Job Site Inspections on sites and service projects.
• Oversee first-time PMs over $5,000 annually with technicians and customers for compliance and satisfaction.
• Staff maintenance accounts with Area Supervisors.
• Assist in monthly contract renewal meetings.
• Provide recruiting support for field staff and maintain crew levels and talent mix.
• Provide field support to Dispatch, Sales and Project Production, responding in person to issues.
• Participate in monthly team safety meetings.
• Identify, mentor and train future field leadership.
