Job summary

Texas AirSystems in Richmond, VA is seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead our service team. You will manage electrical and mechanical inspections, start-up maintenance, repairs, and service contracts, while guiding project management and coordinating with customers and manufacturers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or 10–15 years of related experience in a commercial HVAC environment.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Operating knowledge of MS 365 and working proficiency with handheld computers (smartphone, iPad).
• Electrical or temperature control experience required; EPA Certification preferred (HVAC Journeyman, Boiler Operator, Gas Installer, etc.).
• Experienced and advanced knowledge of AAON equipment.
• Ability to work in diverse conditions including mechanical equipment rooms with exposure to noisy equipment, extreme weather, high voltage, and working at heights.

Responsibilities

• Financial management including P&L responsibility, invoicing, AP/AR management and budget.
• Process and procedure development and implementation.
• Recommend and implement structure changes and operational efficiency opportunities.
• Build and maintain an effective service team focused on customer and employee satisfaction and profitable growth.
• Resolve issues and communicate with manufacturers.
• Pursue manufacturer cost reimbursement for parts and labor.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and resolve issues cost-effectively.
• Lead discussions, training, and rollout of new software and procedures.
• Schedule technicians based on knowledge and abilities; debrief on low-margin jobs.
• WIP tracking and reporting; analyze overhead; support pricing with sales engineers.
