Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or a GED equivalent.
• Four or more years of progressively responsible related experience in commercial HVAC maintenance and repairs.
• Must possess, or be able to obtain, a valid Washington State Driver’s license by date of hire.
• Must successfully pass a criminal background check.
• Valid CFC Universal certification or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operation of the HVAC systems and components at supported sites.
• Perform and oversee maintenance, repair and installation of commercial HVAC and related infrastructure.
• Plan, schedule, and participate in preventive maintenance for HVAC and mechanical equipment.
• Coordinate modifications on projects and oversee contractors/vendors.
• Verify equipment operation and maintain fluid levels per maintenance guides.
• Conduct root-cause analysis to diagnose problems and implement corrective actions.
• Perform a variety of preventive and corrective maintenance tasks on buildings and systems.
• Coordinate safety inspections with authorities and vendors.
• Draft scopes of work, manage contracts/RFPs, and oversee vendor work.
• Support project managers with technical knowledge of building systems.
• Review plans for renovations/new construction for accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure temporary shutdowns or alterations are coordinated with operations.
• Respond to severe weather events and after-hours emergencies as needed.
• Participate in standby rotation for 24-7 emergency response.
• Draft clear documents and communications; use devices to access systems and data.
• Record work orders and timekeeping in the enterprise asset management system.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to new staff; drive operational improvements.
