Job summary

The City of Bellevue, WA is seeking a Facility Operations Specialist to provide on-site maintenance of electrical systems across multiple city facilities, with shift 6:30am-5:00pm Monday-Friday and after-hours support as needed.

Candidates must hold a Washington EL-01 license with at least 2 years as journeyman, and have 4+ years of commercial facility maintenance experience; driving license; pass background check; CDL not required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or a GED equivalent.
• Valid Washington State Electrician's License EL-01 with a minimum of 2 years as journeyman electrician.
• Four or more years of progressively responsible related experience in commercial facility maintenance.
• Must possess, or be able to obtain, a valid Washington State Driver’s license by date of hire.
• Must pass a criminal background check and have a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and perform preventive maintenance, repair, and installation of commercial building high/low voltage electrical systems.
• Coordinate electrical modifications on projects and oversee contractors/vendors.
• Perform root-cause analysis to diagnose problems and implement corrective actions.
• Provide standby emergency response and after-hours support.
• Draft scopes of work, evaluate vendors, manage contracts, and document work and invoicing.
• Assist project managers with technical knowledge of electrical equipment and coordinate with vendors.
• Review plans and proposals to ensure accuracy and compliance for renovations and new construction.
• Ensure safety inspections are conducted with state/local authorities and safety vendors.
